It's a strategic decision that depends on your goals, your level, and, of course, your budget.

As an official photographer and posing coach, I've seen hundreds of athletes make this decision. I've seen right moves that lead to a Pro Card and mistakes that cost a season. I'm not going to tell you where to compete, but I will give you my insider's view, my tips, and a detailed analysis so that YOU can make the best possible decision. 🏆 The Pro Card Hunt: Chasing the Professional Dream

If your sole objective is to get the coveted professional card, the strategy is clear: go where the most opportunities are. This year, several events stand out for their incredible number of Pro Cards.

• IFBB Mr. Universe Chinese Taipei (July 26-27): This is the crown jewel with 21 IFBB PRO cards! It's a competition open to all national federations, and while the trip is an investment, the reward can be gigantic.
• Mr. Universe Paraguay (July 12-13): South America comes in strong with 19 IFBB PRO Cards in Asunción. It's a golden opportunity to stand out in a new competition with many spots up for grabs.
• Mister América IFBB Cup (August 16-17): In Guayaquil, Ecuador, they are not only giving away 15 IFBB PRO Cards, but there's also $10,000 in prize money for amateurs. An extra motivation!

MR and MS World in Fujairah (Early September)

If we talk about spectacular stages, Fujairah is at the top of the world. It's a high-level production with amateur, Semi-PRO, and PRO competitions. Competing here is like feeling like a real star. If your budget allows, it's a memory for a lifetime.

A Key Weekend in Europe (September 20-21)

That weekend is one of the most complete on the European calendar, with options for all tastes:

• For Fit Models: The main event is the IFBB Miss Fit Model Europe in Benidorm, which we discuss in its dedicated section.
• A Classic Choice: The traditional Diamond Cup Luxembourg, which this year also includes a PRO Bikini competition, raising the level and the spectacle.

Late September: Prague and Turkey

To close out the month, you have two great options:

• IFBB Diamond Cup Prague: A competition known for its excellent organization and, above all, for its beautiful and unique medals. It's a tough competition with a lot of local talent, but the prize of taking home one of those medals and strolling through a fairy-tale city is priceless.
• Competition in Izmir, Turkey: If you're looking for a different option, this competition, being part of a large Expo, guarantees you an incredible crowd and a vibrant atmosphere.

IFBB Miss Fit Model Europe in Benidorm (September 20-21)

This is not just another competition; it is THE benchmark event for the category in Europe. It is held on the incomparable stage of the Benidorm Palace, a place that breathes show business. It's a completely different and special event, and the only one where competitors can choose their favorite song for their presentation, allowing for a unique connection with the judges and the audience.

Fit Model World Championships in Dubai (October 17-19)

The world's Fit Model elite will gather in the luxurious destination of Dubai. This event, held alongside the IFBB Binous World Championships, promises a weekend full of glamour and an extremely high level of competition. Competing here means measuring yourself against the best on the planet on a spectacular stage. Will you be one of them?

🌎 The Big Leagues: Continental and World Championships

This is where legends are forged and the future of the sport is shaped. Representing your country is an honor, and these are the most important events.

• World Cup in Madrid (Middle of September): A new giant is born in Madrid with the intention of becoming the world's benchmark event. An incredible opportunity to measure yourself against the best on the planet.
• World Championships (October & November): The main event is split: the World Fitness Championships in Santa Susanna (Nov 13-17), the World Men's Championships in Saudi Arabia (late Nov), and the Fit Model World Championship in Dubai (Oct 17-19).
• Major Continental Events: September and October are months of great battles between countries, with the South American Championship, the Central American and Caribbean Championships, and the Pan American Championships.
• The Future Stars: On the weekend of November 7-9, Warsaw hosts the IFBB European Children Championships. An event to see the stars of the future take their first steps, combining sport, health, and fun.

October: The Perfect "Training Camp" Before the Worlds

Before the big event in Santa Susanna, you have excellent options to compete, gauge your level, and fine-tune the final details. It's also an opportunity to combine competition with a unique experience.

• Mr. Universe Canary Islands: This competition has established itself as a benchmark. The organization is excellent and the stage is beautiful. It's a fantastic option to compete in a high-level environment.

• Other great options in October: You have the Mr. Universe Switzerland (Oct 17-18) in an incomparable setting, the Diamond Cup Skopje if it's more convenient for you geographically, and the West Asian Championships to measure yourself against the best in that region.
• The Dubai Double: Did you compete in the Fit Model worlds? Just a week later (October 24-26), you have the Dubai Muscle Show. A unique opportunity to do a double-header in the city of luxury!

November: The Month of Truth and Opportunity

The key month of the year, but with life before and after the main event.

• Mr. and Ms. Universe Australia (Early Nov): A unique opportunity for international athletes to compete in an incredible destination.
• IFBB Malta Grand Prix (Nov 7-9): As I said before, the competition I always recommend for an international debut. It's the perfect test right before the world championships.
• IFBB World Fitness Championships in Santa Susanna (Nov 13-17): The event of the year. Nothing more to say. Simply special.

The Grand Finale: The Post-Worlds Reward

Now, this is it. You've finished the worlds, you're feeling in the best shape of your life, and you deserve a reward. Don't put the bikini away just yet! Take advantage of your condition and end the season on a high note in one of these destinations:

• Sun and Beach Destinations: You have options like the Diamond Cup Cancun or the Mr. Universe Dominican Republic to celebrate the end of the season on a Caribbean beach.
